rouge engineering

Trying to contact Dave at Rouge but emails keep coming back ,does anyone have a phone number?Tried to contact talon as I have bought stuff before from them and also no reply ,reading the forums some people are not happy to deal with talon ,does anyone have a good experience (recently) with them? I am keen to buy stuff but want to talk to my suppliers first (call me old fashioned) Thanks

I had some stuff made by Phil recently. His workmanship it absolutely cracking, he has a heart of gold, but the customer service of an elephant that has just been punched in the balls. I would defiantly buy from Talon again, but I would order my stuff a few weeks before I actually needed the parts. Guaranteed you will be chuffed with his work, but don't expect him to respond frequently to messages & phone calls. His prices are good & products are brilliant ! :D

That just about sums it all up;) Well spoken;)

I couldn't have put that better Jason!

I'll be going to Phil again next time I need something

I have posted on here before, please do not part with any money with rouge engineering unless you are prepared to do battle to get either your parts or money back. I had to threaten him with paypal and a promise of physical harm.

Dave@Rouge is in REME TA and may have his head under some thing green and broken in a near by forest or may even be on holiday in camp Bastion.

As for me I'm law unto my self at times.

You can try and contact me through private message on here, Locostbuilders, Ebay or even direct email. I don't talk to people during office hours any more as most Roadster based conversations last 30-45 mins and end with 'that sounds what I want I'll come back in a few months when I have some money'. I don't get a great signal in the shop if any and if I'm talking to you I'm not making some one else's paid for parts.
If you have been one of the 7 unknown mobile numbers that have called me this week you will have had the message 'I can not answer this phone it is full of grinding dust please either text or email me'. If you have not understood this message there's not much I can do for you.

Orders with me are placed with either a 30% deposit or payment in full, I'm not a high street shop every thing is made to order and well may take me 3-5 weeks to get round to making. If you want parts by a certain date please tell me otherwise it's not urgent. Parts orders can be delivered/collected quicker by daily or hourly messages of 'is it done yet?'

lots of love

Phil@Talon.

How does someone with sooooooo many means of communication remain so uncontactable:confused:   :D

Talonmotorsport 22nd September 2013 09:54 PM

It's really quite simple if you think about as it's a problem of my own doing I am known as:

Talon Motor Sport on this site and locostbuilders created 2009 although no longer involved in racing or indeed motor sport.
Talon Motor Fabrication a change of name created in 2011 to stop confusion with Talon Sports cars which did'nt work.
Talon Products ebay shop name after ebay forced the original to close and can't open another under the same name.

I have had 7 mobile phones in 5 years that all end up buggered due to grinding dust and people wonder why I have no land line at the workshop.

TheArf 23rd September 2013 09:15 AM

So mobile wise why not just transfer the number to new phone each time I have just swapped from O2 to EE and they transferred the number, SIMPLES

Talonmotorsport 23rd September 2013 10:24 AM

It's more simple to just tell people if you want to talk to me call me at home after 7pm rather than buy a new phone every 7-10 days. I've had the same number for the past 12 years I've put phones in press lock plastic bags, wrapped them in cling wrap and even just left them in the car and after awhile still end up full of steel dust with the speakers buggered.

I am having a little trouble with Dave at Rogue. Bought a full set of wishbone & coilovers brackets off him, just opened them up, had a quick look at them & popped them in my garage. But after reading a post on here about Dave, I decided to go through a check my parts. Turns out he has sent me 17 x 44 mm brackets, & only 7 coilovers brackets. He wanted me to pay extra postage to send this one back, then he could send me my required bracket out. But as I said to him, why should I have to pay when it's not my fuck up ? & he hasn't replied since. That was Friday. Be warned, she have thought that after calling yourself rogue, there may have been problems on the horizon.

I ordered suspension brackets at the begining of October and paid at that time the full amount by paypal,Phil has sent me a refund and a message "no damper brackets in stock for next 3 weeks due to being messed around by supplier".This forum is the only way to contact Talon motorsport in my experience .I am glad to have my refund but dissatisfied by the level of service. Is anyone out there able to supply parts for the roadster now in a decent timescale .

TheArf 29th October 2013 08:29 PM

Gillham do them, but don't expect them quickly I ordered some brackets about a week and a half ago got in touch again yesterday they now say I should get them by the weekend, watch this space as they say

Try rogue engineering, it's on eBay, he is advertising various haynes roadster bits under the seller name of daveo or something similar. He is based in Doncaster. He despatched my stuff really quickly, but check the quantities straight away, as the numbers can be a little off. I was happy with the price & despatch speed, customer service was a little relaxed. The quality is really good as well.

TheArf 30th October 2013 08:23 AM

Are you sure you used Rogue engineering if you did and you got that kind of service you will be the first and I don't doubt the last.
It must have been his time of the month or he had a brain fart and joined the 21st century

I bought a couple of suspension brackets from him about 6 months ago. They looked a bit rusty but did the job for my roll bar stays.

David

P.s I wouldn't have bought them if I'd seen the previous posts!
