Fitting Clutch Cable

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to fit a capri 1.3 mk1 clutch cable to my Type 9 gearbox but I can't get it through the hole in the bellhousing and I can't remove the adjusting nuts. Did anyone else have this problem or know what I'm doing wrong?

Cheers,
Nathan

Nathan

I had to drill out the hole in the bellhousing a little, only took a minute and you can do it in situ

Cheers

Nathan,

The nipple on the cable should just push through the hole in the bell housing. Both of the nuts stay on the engine side of the bell housing. You should not need to take them off.

Mine went in no problem at all.

Thanks for the help guys and for the photo davedew, I can see what I'm doing wrong now...I thought there was a nut on either side of the bellhousing
I'll go and fit it properly this time :)

Cheers,
Nathan
