Cheers Kev. I got some 'hours' for christmas off the wife today so while she took #1 son out for a walk round the park thats 3 miles away I did this....

The clutch disc actually looked ok but it Looks like someone was mining for gold all round the flywheel.

Down to the rivets for some time at one point I would say.

The new 1.8 clutch and flywheel on the left and the weedy 1.6 clutch and flywheel on the right.

Made a makeshift center tool on the lathe and got it all back together.

Took about 4 hours all together. The bite is crisper already but as its raining I just took it back to the garage for the night. Hoping for some boxing day sun...

I'm lucky that she has family visiting from Slovakia so I cant really sit and join in the banter so I get a bit of a pass. :D

Went out for a little drizzly spin today, just into the power band really. I had taken a before log run in 3rd gear and took a short 3rd gear run today.

Looks about 50% up across the board so far. Cant wait for a nice dry sunny day to get a 4th gear pull.

Got to be happy with that. And only an extra £30 odd for insurance a year.

I got my Microsquirt working via bluetooth last night. All internal to my microsquirt so im a happy bunny as I can log with GPS speed and G sensor output now too and it should even be able to give me instant torque, power, MPG etc readings too.

Come on spring!!!

what kind of camera is it and whats the squiggly line in the display?

metal matt 7th March 2015 07:37 AM

no excuse not to put a video out now so we can see what she goes like

Stot 7th March 2015 07:52 AM

Its one of these from ebuyer, they did a special half price on it so for £40 I thought it was worth a look.

GPS and G sensor on board. the squiggly is my route by GPS. I used Dashware which is now free to put the data ontop of the video. Didnt work as I expected so only the first 5 mins has the correct data being used.

It is a video if you click it Matt. ;)
