New Members Apply Here
We have hit some complex issues with updating the forum software which means the whole process will take longer than initially thought.
Because of this delay we are re-opening the forum to new members BUT visitors wishing to join will have to apply directly to the Haynes webmaster by email. The address is on the haynes.co.uk Contact Us page. This a bit laborious, and Haynes apologise for the inconvenience, but it should keep the spammers at bay. |
Still getting spam, and the 'New Posts' button at the top hasn't been working lately.... Is all the software now updated?
|
Any update on the upgrade and unlocking new user registration?
Thanks TT |
Have a mate who is building a Haynes Roadster and wants to register. What is the procedure please?
|
Looks like now there's just one: use http://www.roadster-builders.co.uk/ instead.
|
New member registration is done by emailing the Haynes group webmaster you need to include which forum you wish to sign up for and your desired screen name, this should take no more than 2-3 days even at weekends.
the required email address webmaster@haynes.co.uk |

hi Gary welcome to the forum, don't forget pictures , lots of pictures , we like pictures. lol
more importantly there is a lot of help if needed so don't be afraid to ask, no matter how daft it may seem. good luck with the build from another Gary ..... :) have a look through my build thread (progress at last) mx5 , eaton s/c :) may give you some ideas |
Hi Gary
Cheers for that, i have been lurking in the back round for a couple months looking at the builds, Was thinking of sticking turbo on mine until i see yours, how do you think the emissions will be IVA time? using me tablet or phone to get on line as laptop has died but when get that sorted i will start posting Gary :) |
haha that's a good question :)
as its a 2003 1.8 it has to meet bet or cat1 tests, I have a wideband o2 to help keep an eye on the fuelling, and I'm using the std ecu at the moment according to the gauge its pretty much where it should be with regard to air/fuel, I used the original maf and moved the air temp sensor to after the intercooler so the ecu "should" be reading and therefore fueling fairly accurately....... so fingers crossed, although once iva is booked (hopefully shortly) I will see if the local garage will do an emissions run for me. I think it is either skov or stots build he has gone an mx5 1.6 with turbo, to give you a perspective on the other side of forced induction Look forward to seeing your build and I have family in Basingstoke so not to far away from you, so be wary of prying eyes when I visit them come summertime :) |
