A distraction(s)

Well After having 30mins looking at the roadster cooling system over the weekend I decided to put some time in on the other cars.

I fitted a towbar to my Mondeo MK3 ( which has only just come back from a 2 week holiday at the garage waiting for a new injector )

I removed all the seats from the back of the galaxy and gave it a good sweep/vac after our holiday.

I fitted the Cosworth 4x4 Bonnet to my XR4x4 TT250 Project.

And I looked more closely at a hole in my 24V 4x4 Sapphire Project

I had a hole in the boot floor and rear panel which I found a few months back (probably 12-18). I expanded it a few weeks back and decided it was time to start and fix it.

Whilst pondering this earlier today I remembered that I was sensible enough to salvage the lower rear quaters from my old old 2.0 Ghia which bit the dust in 2006. I salvaged the lower portion of both quaters and both full sill sections. The car was rot free and only needed a replacement prop donught but I had a XR4x4 waiting to replace it anyway... So..

As it was a hatchback the panel is not a perfect match but it covers of the most difficult parts of the repair.

And I set about sorting the hole to put it in

There's a lot of surrounding areas to fix but it's a start!

I like the proper exhaust hanger TT, you should market them to the Locost boys:D .

I have my own distractions, yesterday I had a habitation service to do, an automatic satellte system to install and two solar panel installations to do then my Focus failed its MOT. Nothing major really, couple of holes in the driver's sill, front lower wishbone rear mountings and a pair of wiper blades, I got everything done but the welding which is on the cards for this morning while today's customer's van is in for its MOT then a double service on that (habitation and chassis) followed by a cruise control install on a Freelander.

Well , typically, today it's raining! Perhaps it will blow off by the evening!

I also finished off my new pond over the weekend and tidied the garage a bit. And went to the tip.
