Watch your back lads

So i have been unable to do much since 28th December when whilst working my back suddenly spasmed and i fell to the floor in agony i went to hospital same day as after it happened i couldn't feel my hands and arms although i could still move them

It turned out one of my discs had moved damaging a nerve in the process so lots of physio massages and the biggest pile of heat packs you have ever seen later i am starting to be able to bend and move a bit and i will be able to go back to work in the next week or 2

I have messaged some of you that ordered bodywork but thought I'd tell the full story here

The wife has been doing a great job of putting up with my groaning every time i move and went and i think emptied boots of heat pads

The heat pads i still have left only 2 boxes are open

Know the feeling. My disc went in November, had it removed in December and only now getting back to do light work on the car.

Take care of your back you only have one ;)

Hi Dave

Great selection of deep heat you got more than the local boot's. Where abouts do you rub the cake? :D

That's a lot of heat treat

Hi Dave

Just been catching up on this thread.

My advice, take it very easy & don't overdo things.

Since I damaged my spine as a child I have had some chronic issues with my back.
These issues have got much worse as my years have advanced.

As a fellow sufferer, I feel your pain. Hope you are on the mend real soon. :)

Yeah take care, but don't under do it. Did damage to my back when I was 13 (nearly 30 years ago  ) It hardly causes me any grief as I know how to look after it , but occasionally I do something that triggers some bad spasam.

Physio has me twisting and bending into shapes you couldn't bend wire feels loads better just sometimes it feels like i have been driven through with a spear from behind

garyt 21st January 2017 10:31 PM

You may feel better and that is great but don't rush things it's still tender in there just be careful
