Think I have been conned.

Ordered a rear tub from Chameleon-garage.co.uk had no confirmation reply or any contact from them at all. Tried to message them on here but full inbox. Does anyone have any further contact Info for them so I can give them a call? Really sucks that in a small community people are screwing people over.

vmax1974 15th October 2015 02:50 PM

Sorry to hear you having problems hope you get it sorted out soon

rpjg1975 15th October 2015 03:03 PM

Weren't they previously Gilham online?

RichardH 15th October 2015 05:16 PM

I bought stuff from him just before he changed from Gillham to whatever he is now , had no comms etc from him but the stuff turned up

NeilW 15th October 2015 05:25 PM

I have mailed them a few times with regards to bodywork
I use the following email Sales@chameleon-garage.co.uk
Always 'Dan' who responds.

Did you pay via PayPal?

The V8 Files 15th October 2015 05:52 PM

yes def former guilham, he is a member on roadster-builders under chameleon-garage - maybe worth a try messaging him there.

JasonL 15th October 2015 08:31 PM

I think he's overwhelmed with orders at the minute. I ordered a full body kit a while back, got a nose cone so far and last time I emailed, I got an auto reply saying he's in the shop clearing the backlog. I expect (hope) he sorts out his backlog soon.

NeilW 15th October 2015 08:42 PM

Hopefully it all turns out ok, especially with a few people placing orders.
I still need to order some bodywork and to be fair his prices are acceptable.

Fingers crossed for you guys, let us know how it pans out.

NeilW 16th October 2015 06:45 PM

Chameleon garage has just posted some bodywork on eBay today. So there still active at least.

I have to say - running a website with no phone number of address (that I could find anyway) really doesn't instill confidence!

NeilW 25th October 2015 03:19 PM

Have any of you guys had any luck so far?

JasonL 25th October 2015 03:40 PM

Heard nothing back yet.

james3004 27th October 2015 04:08 PM

I ordered some bodywork on the the 19th of July through eBay after several emails to Dan.

He said it was gonna be dispatched and when it didn't turn up he said he cancelled the courier cos he wasn't happy with the finish of it.

Last I heard from him was a month ago saying he's trying to get all the outstanding orders out by the end of the month (September). Since then he's not been replying to emails or eBay messages!

vmax1974 27th October 2015 11:12 PM

Itt seems his website has been taken down now and he has stopped selling on ebay not looking good is it

I tried to take those moulds over a few times as its what I used to do so if he wanted to hand the moulds over to me I would commit to clearing his backlog and he can keep the money he has already taken off people

So dan if you're reading this get in touch

vmax1974 27th October 2015 11:58 PM

Has anyone got an email address for dan lets see if we can make people happy again

A most generous offer!!!

james3004 28th October 2015 09:03 AM

I received an eBay message last night apparently my bodywork will be with me by Tuesday

Eternal 1st November 2015 11:05 PM

I don't suppose anyone has a working email for him that i can use?

Thanks for all the messages guys its nice to know hes still around.

NeilW 2nd November 2015 12:20 AM

Just going back through my mails I found he had sent a message from
daniel.gillham@hotmail.com
Hopefully he can be reached on that one to put people's minds at rest

james3004 4th November 2015 03:27 PM

Well Tuesday came and went and still nothing....

I would advise anybody not to use Chameleon Garage.....Very Unreliable!

norton 4th November 2015 08:03 PM

Maybe someone should email a link to this thread to him. I certainly won't be buying my panels from him after reading this.

vmax1974 4th November 2015 09:05 PM

I am in talks with dan so watch this space will sell my bodywork if the deal comes off

RichardH 4th November 2015 09:26 PM

if he was due me money i would jump in the car and go visit him.

vmax1974 5th November 2015 02:32 PM

Really phil jump in and try and take over everything you cant even keep the customers you have happy how abput you step aside and leave it to another person (me) so supply some parts

vmax1974 5th November 2015 02:51 PM

Did not mean to be rude and abr upt but have invested time and as long and the outstanding customers are happy to deal with me (1 while set and 1 blue set) so I assume you know who you are the deal is done

Eternal 5th November 2015 04:19 PM

the website is "down for maintenance" Sigh I guess that's it then I don't think I will be seeing my rear tub or money soon!

vmax1974 5th November 2015 04:45 PM

I will sort you a rear tub when I get sorted out

wylliezx9r 5th November 2015 05:55 PM

Good man vmax. Very good of you to help people out.

NeilW 5th November 2015 06:08 PM

Indeed, great to see that we have people dedicated to helping fellow/new builders.

alga 5th November 2015 06:13 PM

I'm so glad to see that the torch is being passed on. I like the design of the Triton nose and scuttle a bit more than the alternatives.

Pardon me??

Ianr 5th November 2015 07:37 PM

Well done Vmax, I hope your generosity gets rewarded in the long term and people remember what you have done to help them.

james3004 5th November 2015 07:55 PM

It has literally just arrived!

But to be honest the quality is shocking!!!!!!

I'd say if your waiting for anything get your money back don't hold out any hope of the stuff being useable if and when you finally get it!!!!!

I originally got a bonnet from skov, but it was old and the gel was cracked so decided not to bother filling and painting it cos of the amount of work required and get a new one, I have to say the original I had is better!!!!!!

SeanI 9th November 2015 01:06 PM

Best of luck with the new venture,

I understand there has been quality issues in the past but im sure they will get sorted under the new ownership,

I hope the existing customers get what they want in return from gillham,or at least there money back???

its a real shame but looks to be in good hands now :)
