Propshaft Length?

Hi Guys,

Just about to order a propshaft from D&F and they have asked for the exact measurement from the diff flange plate to the MT75 flange face.

Probably been a bit thick but is the MT75 flange face the spinning wheel part that comes out the back of the box?

We measured it 3 times and got 0.768 Metres on a laser measure.

Does that sound about right? Just wanted to check as its a pricey bit of kit.

PICTURES: Also whats the best way to add pics to the thread.

Thanks,

the measurement will depend on the location of the engine and box, so there will be variations per builder.

not sure about the mt75 but on the type 3 I have the output shaft from the gearbox slides in and out, to allow for the engine shifting slightly on its mounts I assume. so the measurement for the prop doesn't need to be exact. I guess it makes sense to pull out the output shaft to wherever it was on the donor car, ie where the seal has polished the shaft!
