Coil Pack location?

Hi,

I'm currently cracking on with the wiring and wondered where's the best place to put the coil pack?

Was thinking of putting it on a bracket at the back of the engine - would vibration / heat be a problem?

Or should I stick it just in front of the scuttle near the battery?

Open to suggestions (nice ones obviously)!!:D

Best on the engine if you can find a suitable place. Ford usualy mount them on there.

Keep it away from direct heat like the exhaust.

Cheers TT,

Theres a few spare tapped holes on the back of the head, next to where I've put the thermostat housing, it will get hot but not exhaust temp hot.

Always get another if it goes wrong:eek:

It'll be fine monted at the rear of the head, that is where it is normally located on the Zetech engine, right next to the thermostat housing ;)

If memory serves me right.
The wasted spark type coil pack is located on the engine in all UK spec fords :)
