Toyota 3sgte dyno plot

184kw at the wheels, 550nm of torque, weighs 650kgs= fun! This was before the tuning started, you can see it is very rich... I don't have the final run, but it was closer to 195kw.

The last time I went on a dyno with a 302 ford it ran really dirty but that was where it made the best power. It confused the guy on the dyno, he put it down to shit combustion chamber and port design:o For whatever reason it just loved to run rich. Anyway thats a nice little lot you have there, its a shame its all to much for a roadster and totally unuseable. [joke]

I loved my MR2 Turbo. Really wish I could have gotten that lump into my Haynes. Quite a bit of envy for what you have there mate!

I actually thought myself that it was way too much power for such a light car, but it is really pretty nice to drive. ( except in the wet).
It doesn't feel hills!

It's a nice smooth power curve considering the turbo charged ferocious power you have there, should be awesome to drive especially on the track days with some margin for error.

If i get chance there will be a rotary wankel engine going into mine - 231hp, upto 9k rpm and a low torque. A perfect match for the roadster and will sound and drive awesome.

Enjoy it and we'll be thinking of you in our crappy winter...... Andrew

Which revision of engine have you got and what is the boost pressure set at?
Any other mods?

I agree, I wonder how hard the Electrics are to get around. Whole cars go for peanuts, perfect donor really.

It's a gen 4 from the st 215 caldina. For that run it was set a 10 psi, I now run 15.
The electrics are really simple, no immobiliser or other silly things. I have a piggy- back ecu ( mapecu3) so that I can play with the air/ fuel and timing.... If you run the stock engine, you don't need anything other than the stock ecu.
I have a TD04 turbo (WRX) on a custom manifold, motor is internally stock.
MR 2 motors are very similar, and will bolt up to the altezza see-10 6 speed box if you use the altezza clutch and flywheel.
