rear driveshaft gaiters.
cleaning the rear driveshafts at weekend and gaiters are shot. the factory ones are one piece. I could fit glue on ones but prefer not to. the joints seem to be sealed unit, is it possible to split these or not.
any help welcome cheers tony |
You can split the joints and the boots & tin tubes are available as a kit from Ford for quite reasonable money but only for the joints with a big tin can type tube on them about 2 to 3 inches long, mine had a bigger can which was only about an inch long so I used quinton hazell stretchy boots. These stretch and slide over the joint in one piece using a big plastic cone and fit well, quite cheap too, don`t even think about the split boots you glue together, they`re a complete waste of time.
