I'm just about to order the nosecone and bonnet from Saturn (early Christmas pressie from my lovely wife!). The side and rear panels are going to be wrapped with 3M Carbon Fibre effect vinyl.

The brakes are all finished and working, the wiring is 90% done, the engine is nearly finished, just got hoses to install. The CB900 bike throttle bodies are on my homemade inlet manifold, and the megasquirt 2 now has to be wired up.

The only major purchases left to make are the exhaust and the gauges for the dash, so maybe, just maybe finished in 2011. Problem is time for me, what with work and 2 young boys it's taken me 3 yers to get this far! Still, now it looks like a car, the motivation is really strong to get it finished, so I may have to finalise my plans for the 26 hour day!

Hope you like!

Cheers

Adrian

That's looking really nice Adrian, love the way you have painted the rocker cover to match the bodywork. And the carbon effect sides will look really cool - black and orange together is good.

Well Done......AndyH ;)

Looks like you are well on the way to completing your Roadster Adrian

That is going to be another well turned out build :)

One thing for sure, you have definately managed to get more done than I have during the last 3 years :o

On the Road by next summer ;)

looking really good there Adrian its about time you posted :D. only one little thing i can see that i would change. the water expansion bottle. if it boils over it will run down and burn your feet! have a chat with dogwood hes got the scars to prove it.

i was thinking about that 3m carbon effect stuff for my side panels will be interesting to see how it comes out.

Good point Ash, I put it there because it came from a Westfield and that's where they put it! May have to rethink!

Cheers

Does it not have a spigot on the filler neck that you can fit a tube to, and run the tube down the chassis so it exits at the bottom of the engine compartment? Or better still, if it does lose any water, put the tube into a separate bottle, and the coolant will be sucked back into the system when it cools down.
