t9 removal with engine in car?

anyone managed to remove thair type9 with the engine still in the (finished) car? i have a box rebuild and tall ratio 1st gear kit to fit and want to know if i could manage to get the box out on its own?

Slide the lot out from the front engine and box together then take the box off and refit it and put the lot back in the same way.
There is probably not enough room to get the box back into the tunnel to clear clutch and flywheel and you can always leave the prop on and just slide it off the end of the box, dont forget the oil leaking out.

I had to remove mine to replace the rear gearbox seal as it had a weap.

Make sure you change it as I wasted about 3 hours taking the engine out, back in. Taking the scuttle off, the under dash covers, the transmission tunnel cover plate.

The big puddle of oil annoyed me as well, let alone the cost.

the answer is no not quite

I pulled the engine forward and managed it but looks like I will have to take the engine out to make it easier to put it back in.
