Engine power
 
I just wanted to know guys how powerful engines you are using, just to make and overview

:o :o the engine i,m using is from my donor & according to the westfield data it has 103bhp, but plans are for a 2ltr zetec once on the road with hopefully approx 160bhp, with car weight at approx 530kgs will give in the region of 300bhp per ton :D :cool:

Going for a 1.8 BT zetec on MS! Hoping to acheive 140 bhp on standard cams...

1.8 Zetec silver top, bike throttle bodies, Megasquirt & 2L zetec cams.

Looking to achieve 140 - 150 BHP :)

Plan B

1.8 Zetec as above but with bike carbs & Megajolt 130 - 140 BHP

Also going Zetec route. 2.0l silvertop with bike bodies, megasquirt and decent exhuast - hoping for 160 - 165 bhp!

brake power is not what you should look at when choosing an engine, the most important would be the engines level of torque as this is what drives the vehicle

the engine i'm using is a hybrid zetec 1800 with RS turbo bits added, will be around 200bhp if not a bit more ( used to make my brand new standard rs turbo clutch slip when i booted it:) )
