M12 wishbone boults
 

Just theys have a spanner type on eather end? I have found some m12 8mm Allen key boults rated at 10.9 and was thinking of piping them in. That look neat and shuld not need covering on one side for the iva.
I canot see a problem but then again.... Can anyone elce see why not?

Nope, no problem with using Allen headed bolts, as long as they are stamped grade 8.8 or higher. That goes for the nuts as well, which sloud be of the locking variety.

If the price is right, get em.

Dunno why you're worried if they have a hex on each end, surely you have spanners AND a ratchet with sockets:confused:

As I sead. I see no problem and the price is mooor than faverable. The on the nut and boult shelfe at work. Only posable problem I can see is later corosion.

I would assume they are plated :confused: , and I certainly will be trying to avoid being out in crappy conditions.

Remember, these cars might only do 25% of the mileage of your daily driver, generally in better conditions. Therefor any likeleyhood of corrosion is significantly lessened.

It's not like they are totally hidden away either, so just keep an eye on them, and if any start to corrode, replace them.

Are to true and wise. Must think like this moor oftern. Must not build a car that all needs an eye keeping on it.

as we all know every inch of our cars thru the process of building them, the mindset of keeping an eye on things isn,t a chore its more like "knowing " what to keep an eye on. ;) :cool:

Is it ok to use stainless steel bults & nuts on the roadster? i have alot of them at work & was thinking of using them but nut sure that would be ok.

Depends on the grade, and where you are using them.

Stainless can be found in grade 80, which is roughly equivalent to grade 8.8 high tensile. But it is more usual to find grade 60 (I think)
Don't confuse this with the class of Stainless (A2, A4 etc.)
