Pedal return spring
Hi.
Is it necessary to have pedal return springs? I've picked up a torsion spring for a Peugeot and modified it to fit the accelerator pedal, but there's a lot less space for the brake and clutch pedals, so I was wondering if the push back from the master cylinder is enough? |

Great, thanks David. I was a bit concerned about the throttle as I've heard the throttle can stick, but the posts I read seemed to relate to bike engine builds. I prefer to have to use extra pressure on the accelerator in any case.
I won't bother with the others though, as modifying the torsion spring was a real pain. |
I think the best thing to do is to put together the system and try it out; in my case I decided I do need a return spring, but my system is different from most.
I'm going to try one of these next weekend: Tension Spring |
Thanks Badger. It's a bit early for me to test it out, but I will do.

According to my confirmation email, it says:
GENUINE PEUGEOT BOXER CITROEN RELAY BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING 452224 Item Number 321785865628 But the eBay hyperlink is too old, so the post has been deleted. Hope that helps! |
Ah that narrows down the search, thank you!
