Raceral....
i like the "sunken" handbrake lever  & is that a brake bias valve behind the handbrake lever? andy:) |
Thanks HandyAndy, the handbrake is off a Honda Civic I found in a wrecking yard.
And you are also correct on the adjustable bias valve. Al |
That Pinto pic threw me as well,I remember taking it of the drivers side inner wing and the carbs on the other side.

Old thread I know - but it's where I am now!!!
Looks like most people just drill into the chassis rails (and rivnut?) to secure their p clips? Does the 'perforated strip' idea mentioned in The Book mean "welding on a strip of 1mm plate that you've drilled a load of holes in" - like the pic in Dogwoods post (page 1 of this thread). And do most people not bother with this approach? Just want to make sure I weld everything necessary before painting!!! |
I used 40 x 3 , drilled every 100mm with 3mm holes for pop rivet's ,top and bottom of tunnel.

40mm wide x 3mm thick flat steel strip.

You can also paint your chassis, and fit the strip afterwards with rivets, as Simon (Tatey) did:

Cut some 3mm x 25mm strip this weekend ready to weld in the tunnel - couple of pics on my blog (link in footer)...
