update

Hi all just thought id do a progress update seen as ive been busy today
my chassis is just about finished now and its painted black
i will have to grind a bit of paint off to weld the odd bracket on but thats no biggy i couldnt wait to get it painted hehe
today myself and my brother removed the engine from the sierra took us 7 hours with no manual and no previous experience and a rusty old chain hoist and some scaffold pipe
what a great feeling it was once it was out!

anyway heres a few pics
cheers Andy

Good stuff....

With a bit of practice, and components that are not rusted tight.. You can get the engine out quite quickly..

Takes me about 1 1/2 hrs to drop the 24V 4x4 out of my Sapphire..

i stripped my sierra to an empty shell in 6 hours but i did have airtools tools and the use of my mates industrial garage. it was quite a nice job actually as i cleaned the engine bay with a diesel powered hot soap jet washer the day before.

wishbones look nice and shiny have they just been brushed up for painting or have they been plated?
