BR7 tube question
BR7 should be:
409,92mm like in new fig. 4.2 or 428mm from page 161 and how many mm should be between BR7 and BR10 ? |
not with you there ?
when i cut BR7 i used the dimension from page 161 which is 428mm. where do you get the dimensions of 409,92mm in fig 4.2 from? andy |
long time ago on the forum was corrected pdf with fig 4.2 and BR7 are 409,92
i don`t have this file but maybe somebody have |
I cut my BR7 to 428mm as per cutting list on page 161
Looking at figure 4.2 on page 34 the overall dimensions given to the outsides of BR8 & BR9 is given as 478mm Deduct 50mm for those 2 tubes 478mm - 50mm = 428mm length for tube BR7 ;) The drawing is correct as far as I know, I do not remember any amendments to this part of the chassis. No idea as to where you get the 409.92mm from !!??( 410mm in the real world ) :D   |
I don`t remember who make it but I fount it on this forum
photo: now from the oryginal 4.2 everythink is correct :D |
the dimension of 409.92 is the dimension of where BR8 & BR9 meet the rails BR1 & BR2 NOT the position of BR7, which is why i couldn,t understand your original post question.
i would suggest you place BR7 as per the book dimensions ;) :) stated on page 34, fig 4.2 cheers andy |
Careful how you go
I don't know where that drawing has sprung up from
The front section of that drawing looks to be narrower than the book one. You might want to cross-reference those diagonal measuments against the ones shown in fig 4.2 on page 34 ;) If you build your chassis to that layout, I don't fancy your chances of fitting the front suspension brackets :eek: |
Now I build the same as fig. 4.2
