I have just got some today for my floor, I got a 8x4 2mm 5251 for £70

Do you think the grade 1050A h14 will be suitable.
Thanks

I am not sure, maybe any of fabricators on here may have some more information.
A quick google search shows that the 1050 is about 50% of the strength so I would imagine that a thicker piece would be required.

For my floor I used.

2500 mm x 1250 mm x 1.5 mm - 5251 H22 - Standard mill finish £41.80

from aluminium warehouse and its plenty strong enough. I used H14 for all other parts, tunnel covers etc.

I used 1.2mm H14 for the seat back, tunnel and scuttle panels. My bodywork is all GRP.

Cheers stot,
I am sure this has been answered before would you mind telling me what is the product I seal between the floor and chassis ?

And rivet at 50mm spacing is that ideal.

Cheers

Sikaflex 221 or similar polyurethane sealant to glue it down and I riveted every 50mm on every rail it touches to make sure its good and solid.

Hi Stot, thanks for the tip on the aluminium warehouse I've purchased the floor material you suggested, great price, delivery and packaging.

I've gone for 1.5 thick for the floor as you have, any chance you could tell me the size of rivets you used and where you purchased them.

Thanks again for your help

Daveyb.
