Throttle cable MX5

I assume many if you have solved the same issue so though I'd put it to you all. I need a longer cable for my TMXR build, looking at and measuring the old one I need a 2mm inner cable with a barrel nipple 6mm Dia 10mm wide, is this combination like rocking horse s**t or is it just me. My ideas so far are get a thinner cable, a larger barrel and file it smaller or solder my own, what did you guys use? The other end I'll probably use an 90 degrees version of this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302191897699 and an eyelet like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201464361954 pedal end, am I miles off the mark and am I over thinking it?

That's a good point, I remember the bracket needs to be dropped to clear my bonnet, my have to play with the position as it is so dam close for the original.
