Hi all,

I'm after a very cheap set of 15/16in steel wheels with tyres so i can get my chassis on wheels if anyone has any? Preferably near surrey area so I can pick them up.

What donor are you using? If its an mx5 I've got 4 space savers that I used you can have for free as long as you arrange a courier

it's it possible to get steel wheels that big? I thought they were all 13s?...

14" are OK too, my build wheels were that size. Sierra did come with 13" and 14" wheels.

i tried 14s on the rear and the long bolt on the bottom of the upright scrapes against the rim, even though i cut a bit off

If you put the rears on inside out just for the build smaller wheels will fit as it will avoid that long bolt. Have u tried local scrap yards?

my std ford sierra 14" steels fitted fine?

you need a bolt only just long enough and if 14" steels fit 15" alloys will only just fit!

okay cheers guys, i will try again but might try Richard's idea if they still won't fit.

I had to cut my bolts to 233 mm. This way there is one turn of the thread above the nylon. This way the wheel fits, but the clearance is minimal
