Master fuse?

Evening chaps,
Does anyone have any recomendations weather I should use a midi fuse (40-150A) or a maxi fuse (200A) I also plan to put it on the earth cable to battery, is there any problem in doing this?
I think this has been discussed before, but I cant find it anywhere on here?

Cheers chaps

I've got 180A maxi fuse for mine for all my permanent live and switched lives. I'm not putting one on the main starter cable as these can draw huge currents.

Don't put it on the earth cable.

And work out your total load and select the fuse to match.
