Megajolt

I have just been offered a used Megajolt, leads etc thats been taken off a 4 cylinder Sierra (Pinto engine) , not knowing much about Megajolts, does anyone know if I can use it on my V6 Engine? If so what is is worth second hand?

is it just the mega jolt?

It should be compatible with any engine if set up right with the correct MAP.

Using an EDIS 6?

I would agree with cyberbeej, all you should need is an edis 6 and to update the map for your engine. Although really isn't the megajolt only really good for bike carb conversions and won't that be quite tricky with a v6 as you'd need to split the carbs etc to make 2 banks of 3?

That makes it even worse as I am Manual fuel injection.. Think I will give it a miss

Megajolt will work with any fuel system as it only replaces the distributor.
If you are running mechanicals fuel injection you can leave that on and use Megajolt for spark.
I found it pretty easy, as for mapping you can start with a linear 2d map that copies the distributor then modify into a 3d map.
The benefit for me is that I can run a wild cam on the engine but have easy starting and a smooth idle at lower revs than with a dizzy, fuel economy when cruising is also improved.

Due to the large number of enquiries for this unit from various sources, the fairest way is to but if for offers on Ebay.
