Disc uprights with drums?

Hi, just a quick one. Is there any potential problems using rear drum setup on offset disc uprights?? I had originally planned to use discs but didn't realise how hard they were to find plus the fact they may be a bit overkill .

Many thanks:)

It's only the hex plate RU8 that determines what type the brakes are. Leave the top and bottom mounts in place and cut RU8 off with a cutting disk and grind both areas flat. Redrill the bolt clearance holes in RU7 and weld RU8 back on. Be aware that the holes are off set in a trapezium pattern.

Nah no need to cut them up
just use them as they are makes a much better run for the handbrake cable and brake pipe
ask me how i know
cheers les g

Ah a screan name that I can assosiate with a job number, don't worry james I would have given you a call when it got nearer the time. The material will be cut next week and the welding will start when the build table becomes vacant.
