Brake balancing

Hello All, i am at a point now where i need to get my brakes balance between front and back with the balance bar. To do this myself would be a guess, can anyone recommend a garage in Yorkshire who could assist? Whilst at it i will ask them to check tracking and speedo calibration.

Driving it and fiddling with front to rear brakes is the only way possibly to do it,if you get the rears to lock and not the front go the other way and vice versa to sort the front,60/40 is the norm.

I would not think its possible to do it with mot rollers as they only register force in kg,it may give you an idea which way to go.

What if the brakes are balanced 62/38, Would this fail IVA? Surely this would effect performance as well...

There is a formula to work out brake force and it will be in the iva manual.
