Headlight Wiring

The wiring for the headlights, do people drill holes through the top chassis rail so it comes out inside the engine bay? This is what I assume would happen, but was concerned about weakening the chassis by drilling more holes through it (There are some 9mm holes there for some M6 Rivnuts, to hold the nose cone on)

I,m drilling a small hole in the base of the headlamp bracket, fitting a small grommet for the wire, just before it meets the chassis rail TR1 & TR2, then fed into the engine bay & joining the rest of the engine bay electrics,

there should, at the most , be only 1cm of wiring under the headlamp bracket as it goes into the engine bay at the rear of the upper shock mounting bracket.

cheers
