Myself & Gus used the RS component clips for fuel & brake lines. So you should be fine with them.

you can get them quite cheap from maplin and also halfords have started doing brake pipe and clips and unions

Slight change of topic, but if I have wires, running inside split conduit, is using zip ties to attach them to frame rails acceptable or do they have to be P clipped?

The red one's look like they don't bend for the holes to meet up

David,

When I was helping Gus wire his car we put all the wires in conduit as you describe. We then riveted some cable tie bases to the chassis rails, and zip tied the conduit to it.

Cheers

Dave

These P-Clips are meant to be used indoors on fire control systems the red coating can crack when the clips are closed up.
I have bought plastic ones from Maplins as well.
