Projector Lights?!?

Anybody thought of using projector HID's as their main lights, the ones I've seen advertised for bikes say they have a high and low beam but can't seem to find any that will offer side/dipped and main?

If anybody has researched can you let us know

Cheers

As far as I'm aware for hid to be legal they need to have washer units and also have to have correct lense type so they can't be used in normal lamps, I suppose after iva it woudnt matter. You can however buy projector style lights which use normal H1 bulbs . There's a bit of info here ... http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps

Could also be a problem with beam pattern ie no kick up to left as per normal headlights,I think its been mentioned previously on the forum.
