mine is only a book specification 1.6mm chassis and hasn't fallen apart/bent, if i were building a chassis from scratch again to take plus 250bhp i would cross brace the front frame and gusset all the tube joins with 3mm plate to increase rigidity. it wasn't any harder to get the engine in than any other engine tbh. the tricky part was working out where to put all the extra bits like charge cooler water pipes oil cooler. propshaft took a while to sort as dunning and fairbank were out of the conversion kits to convert the omega box to a standard output flange. you also need to make a spacer for the clutch slave cylinder. there are at least ten people that i know of that have fitted a saab turbo engine in their car. but as far as i know there are only 4-5 people that have actually made it all work and usable/reliable on the road
