The exhaust paste I got from Halfords, expands when heated. So I smeared it on, once the exhaust got warm, it sealed up wonderfully.
My stainless exhaust was off a Pinto kit car, (Right hand exit) and my RS2000 16v is a left hand exit. So I chopped it with an angle grinder, flipped it over, loads more chopping and modifying and it works a treat. So you can just get one thats suitable for a kitcar and chop it to suit. Its all part of the Locost ethic. You don't need no fancy custom exhaust.
