Thanks for that encouragement ayjay, stripped the car down today after reattaching my winch to the garage cross beam. It kind of let go just as I started to hoist the engine yesterday!
Bit of an "oh shit" moment!
sorted out the steering stops. I just welded in some spare hex and box section to stop the rack as required!
