Actually it's not
quite as bad as it sounds...
I haven't completely blocked the exhaust; the dB killer insert thing has a 1"-ish tube down the middle which is still completely unrestricted.
I've wrapped the wool around the outside of that tube, so I think what I've effectively done is reduce the outlet of the can from 2" down to about 1".
I should be alright as long as it doesn't shoot a scorching hot bundle of wire at the IVA man during the test
