Since that original post of mine i have slightly repositioned my engine, the depth from the bottom chassis rail to the bottom of the bell housing is still the same at 25mm,

BUT

I,ve moved my engine back a little, the front pully to BR7 is now 11cm, the reason i did this was after reading other folks concerns of the position of the reverse light switch on the gearbox being too close to the transmission tunnel upright TT4, i now have plenty of clearance for the switch.

Although if you do go ahead with the original dimensions it should still be ok if you use different connections on the reverse switch ( bullet type ) rather than the Ford rubber connection.
