I agree with 3ge, stamp in onto a plate, and weld that to a chassis member on the right hand side of the engine compartment, the brace is good.

If you don't have any thin plate (1.5mm is good) cut a piece out of a an offcut of square tube.

Then you need the manufacturer's plate as well, usually riveted to the front face of the scuttle, might be a good idea to put the axle weights on it too, although I passed a car through Leighton Buzzard this month without them.
