I'm using the savage switches which are led, I'm going to have them dim when the lights are on (5k resistor) and then on full when the switch is activated. It's easy to do on them as they are double pole switches.
I would prefer them to be the same colour as the telltales (red and amber)
Also for iva they must be clearly marked as to what they operate.
If you were worried about it for iva don't wire it up to be illuminated with the side lights. Run all the wires just don't fully connect it.
