More and more problems with the Megajolt so wired the jolt, edis and coil to the battery (with a simple switch so i can turn it off) runs fine to 4500rpm then pops and bangs.

This is what i did to isolate the fault, with the total help of the Autosparkslabs forum.

Run car, 4500rpm ignition fails
unplug Megajolt, start car ( car should run at 10 degs from EDIS alone) rev to 4500, ignition drop out.
replace EDIS, no megajolt rev to 4500, ignition drop out
replace coil pack, rev to 4500, ignition drop out.

At this point i should add that i have a complete V2, EDIS, Coil pack spare.
I have rewired the loom with all new cable and proper shielded stuff for pip saw and VR sensor.
I have replaced VR sensor, cable and plug previously

replaced VR sensor with older one, no spark at all, threw it in the bin.
Noted face of VR sensor has been shaved by toothed wheel and slight marks in the side of sensor from locking bolt.

Replaced VR sensor with one from Trigger-wheels.com, revs to +5500rpm no problems.
Take it for a spin achieve 6800 red line.

The only way to check the sensor is to use a scope but its the VR sensor (and bracket) that is the weak link so check that and the plug/cable first.

Hope this saves people some angst
