The engine sits 40mm lower than the chassis rails anyway so I thought I'd lower the floor 40mm. Being quite tall and wanting to use the mx-5 seats it seemed a reasonable design. I don't intend to be driving it on unknown roads surfaces and if I do it will be slowly. It's a road/race vehicle after all not a commuting/utilitarian vehicle. I also prefer to keep the brake and fuel lines away from gearbox and diff/prop movement. :shrug:

They offer floor lowering on the Caterham R500 as an option and as I said the Westfield has a lower floor.
