Well as an update, I've kinda solved this problem. A 1.8cvh flywheel takes a pinto clutch cover so I could fit a pinto uprated clutch if I liked. However, with a pinto clutch release bearing, the existing RS2000 16v flywheel and clutch cover fit fine onto a Type 9 gearbox.

So for all the fuss the MT75 boys make about the RS2000 16v engine, the bloody thing just goes on with a £5 clutch release bearing! So I'll run it with the RS2000 16v clutch and as an upgrade in the future, I can change over to a lighter 1.8cvh flywheel and save some 3 kgs.
