I think that is about parr for the Zetec engine.
The very same issues as when I trial fitted my Zetec 1.8 engine.
There are a couple of options open, both will be a matter of personal choice.
Buy an aftermarket water rail that will relocate the thermostat housing away from the bulkhead.
Bring the engine far enough forward to keep the original thermostat housing & alter the gear lever / Transmission tunnel to suit .
I have choose the second option but would be glad to hear from anyone who has a better solution before I fully weld the engine mounting arms & start chopping bits.
