Under the body work all 7 type cars are basicly the same design the only parts that change are the mounting points for the wishbones and coil overs. There where a few kits that used Triumph parts but the prefered front suspension is twin unequal length wishbones giving 3-5' of caster, 1-1.5' of camber and all trying to avoid bump steer. Some designs are simple and use donner parts that are a compramise to suit and others are custom made uprights to suit but at the end of the day they all follow the same principles.
It brings a smile to my face when people say they have a 'all new 7' coming out and guess what, it looks like all the others ie long bonnet, small cock pit,two seats sat between the rear wheels. Park Chapmans design next to a Caterham,Westfield,Dax,Forumla27,Tiger,MNR etc etc etc etc take the body work off and then try and find the 'major redesign'? There are a few that have tried to reinvent the wheel by using round tube and making a 120 piece hammer but it still only does the same job it just takes 3 times as long to produce.
