The challenge is at the front. The lump of transferbox that will intrude into the cockpit is far enough back to not be a problem, it basically ends up under your knees which are bent anyway. the shaft going forward is inside the tunnel long before it gets to the pedals so thats not an issue. Then comes the front. The way i saw it was the the diff has only one place to go so thats where the steering rack will end up and the driveshafts would have to go through where the front springs go. So it would have to be cantilever springs and shocks mounted inboard and that then that just leaves the steering rack. The only way I could see a route for the steering column to get to the steering rack would be one of those steering angle drives like the ones used on forward control small commercials . The rack could then be mounted with the spline looking straight up and the column could point over the top of the halfshaft then change direction via the miter box. Simples
