Rubber Bushes?
I've looked for a post relating to this, I have my wishbones all done (I hav'nt even orderd the steel for the chassis yet ) and was looking into rubber bushes.
The reason being is that in work I work alongside a lot of Rally boys and they all seem to be telling me to go for the rubber bushes over the polly bushes. I understand that polly bushes are harder therefore giving you less vibration but less feel for the road where as polly bushes Personally I think are the opposite. Some of the lads are using their MK2's everyday so obviously want a smother ride, also a bloke in work said about the rubber ones as he used to use them on his tuned mini back in the 80's and spoke to some people at our local hill climb event and they agreed. If anybody knows where i can get them from for the car or maybe there are ones for a car that fit or even for your views, any help is good help. Many Thanks Dean

You need to go for polybushes that have a lower shore rating. The ones that 3GE used to sell where hard and almost like nylon, the ones that Rally design sell are softer to the point that you can move them with your fingers. The crush tubes will need triming by 2mm easy enough if there is some one handy with a lathe. Don't be tempted to try and use a hacksaw or grinder as they will be fit for the bin.
