Default Steering Column Bush

I'm trying finish this bit off and I'm a bit confused. From some posts I've read it looks like I should be using one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISA...=STRK:MEWNX:IT but then other people seem to be using something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Sierr...item3cbaedb27a or is it actually a combination of the two? I seem to have lost this part off my orginal donor and my column just has a white plastic bit on the end which is currently sitting in the hole in driver footwell plate, is this right?

The first one you list is basically an upgrade. The second one you list is the standard ford item. You will need both if you go for the steel bearing type because you need the piece on the left of the pic which goes over the triangular part of the steering shaft and will then locate into the steel bearing one.

I went for the first bearing and changed the chassis plate to 3mm, you only need the triangular piece from the second link, luckily I saved that bit but failed to keep the rest.
The triangular piece needs filing down slightly to fit into the bearing. (I put a bolt through and used a bit of wet&dry to remove the excess plastic)

I still had to alter the book engine mounts as the extension hit the mount.

I think I'll just stick with the basic setup and then look to upgrade further down the line.
