Default I've started!!

Hang on. now i think about that statement, i really started 5 years ago. But all in the planning etc. So if anyone wants to know what it takes to think about starting to build a Locost, or in this case, a Roadster, let me know and i can post some of the research and info and tips i've gleaned off people and an engineer over the past few years.

Enough of the theory, down to the practical. Stayed back at work to start and drew up the build board and actually cut 4 pieces of the chassis. I'm stoked, i'm bloody happy as i thought i only had time to do the drawing and layout of the build board.

As people keep reminding others here, this thread is boring without pics, so if i can work out how to upload them see below for the initial installment of pics of progress.

Cool Great news

Tis great to see that you have made a start on the chassis

Once you get into the groove, there'll be no stopping you.

Absolutely love the mobile build table .... Wish I had thought of that, need the worshop, just wheel her out

I look forward to following your progress

Build table on wheels is great!! Can make it disappear from the workshop in two seconds flat, which is good for doing it at work. It's actually a 8 x 4ft utility trailer used an airport. The guys didn't need this one as it had a "broken" draw bar, they have two more which they can use. I love being the mechanic who puts things out of commision. . . . .

Default Long time no post

Hi all. It's been a long time since i posted last. And lets be honest, it's one of those things that happens to 90% of projects. Other things come to the front and become more important. In the last few months I've started in earnest again. I now have everything at another place to continue the build. I have also started a blog. Gee now look who's trendy

In any case, the blog is a bit boring at the moment because it's all about the research and idea gathering stage, no new pictures of the frame, seeing as it hasn't gone too much further. OK well i don't find it too boring, hopefully others might not either.

Anyone from Australia, feel free to stop by and have a read. You might find it informative, especially if you are in NSW and looking into trying to get your Clubman registered on the road.
