Help with DIFF. drive flanges.
Hi,
Finally I get some parts but I get in troubles. Perhaps some one can help me. I have a differential 7" with 3.62 LSD but it doesn't have the drive flanges for the "lobro" type CV's My shafts have 100 mm lobro's so my question is: Can someone help me to get those drive flanges with 100 mm?? Here are some pictures. - The first show a picture of the flanges that I need. - The second shows the diff with a set of flanges of a 7.5" both drive flanges have the same length so it doesn't work. lsd???????
HI, the 7" diff in the pic isnt an lsd looks like a standard open diff to me!
I am happy to be proved wrong though. |

Might make me look a right muppet but I always understood that to test if it's an LSD then turning one side will have the lsd diff spin both outputs the same way...non lsd goes opposite way...?

The flanges are not just a straight replacement, those slots for the circlips are there for a reason so you would have to pretty much dismantle the diff.
I am not saying they don't exist but i have never seen a Ford LSD with push in shafts |

There have been a few different solutions to Push in shafts to Lobro and vice verse.
I take it you have disc rear end with Lobro drive shafts, you can change the rear lobro for a push in tripod UJ as long as you have the same diameter shafts. My current thinking is that if you have a push fit LSD, you could swap it for a bolt on one, your push fit is more rare than the bolt on and it would make your conversion a mornings work, much more simple |

I don't know.
But I think that the problem would be the same if I use the push-in shafts. This is a LSD with lobro flanges, but the guy [German] I bough took the flanges out, so I am stuck here. The push-in shafts would not engage the right way with the splines of the gears. It is the LSD that shifts the gears to the right side and forced Ford to change the setup. On top of that I have all the parts [shafts lobros etc.] So please, has anyone those flanges????????????? Regards, Cobra289
