Default master cylinder

Hi All
just got a master cylinder but it does not have a threaded plunger on the end it has a circular knob where a pin goes through it ,does any know if this is steel or alloy as i would need to cut the circular end off and thread it, it came off a fiat brava ,any advice would be of great help

Hi, punctuation is your friend . Assuming we're talking about the push rod end that sticks out? I did the same as what you propose, in so much that I lopped the round end off, threaded it and screwed on a clevis for fitting to the pedal. My master cylinder was not off a Fiat Brava but the principal applies.

This is a early photo of my pedal box under construction. You can see what I've done with the push rod on the photo.
