Fao AshG also Chassis strength?
Just a quick one... How much power will the 2mm chassis take without the need for major strengthening!
To ash how hard was it in fitting the Saab engine and running gear? I have a friend who has big ambitions with these engines and there tunability.. Also did you use the said engine to pass the iva or just went in with a book spec car? I can't find your build thread lol Dan |

He went through iva with a 1.6l pinto. Then upgraded and I'm sure he said he wished he pit the Saab engine in first.

Iv been thinking that aswell to be honest I can get all the running gear etc pretty cheap so it's worth looking at as an option, depending on the iva situation

Just fit a cat and get it properly tuned and iva will be no problem whatsoever

You don't need to use 2mm wall tube to take extra power you need to add extra braces....heavy cars hit things harder as Mr Chapman used to say.
Extra power will highlight the geometry problems with the Sierra based chassis. Last edited by MarkB : 30th July 2011 at 09:17 AM. |
