![]() after making an arse of my tub tubes rp1 etc with a plumbers pipe bender, i then thought an electricians conduit bender would be more suitable,
then.... i thought is there any good reason why i just cant use 20mm electrical conduit for these tubes? |

![]() Don't see why not but they are usually galvanised so make sure and remove it in the area you plan to weld. I believe it gives off nasty fumes.

![]() Not sure about using conduit, but I did use a 20mm conduit bender to bend my tubes.
It didn't make a perfect job of them, and flattened them slightly, but it's good enough considering the ali tub is going to cover them. |

![]() any input is good as i'm using 20mm conduit some contractors left for me when they did a job, i told them i was building a kit car and asked if they had any off cuts 10 mins later he had to order 2 more lengths and a pack of 6 lengths turned up and he said it yours if you want it. bonus

![]() I used a conduit bender but packed the dies out with some duct tape to make the tube a bit more of a snug fit, It didn't work out to badly
