Front Uprights
Hi everyone
Little while ago i got some cortina uprights given to me from my uncle which he had spare from his locost he built a few years ago. I have now got to wondering weather the front suspension based on the Ron Champion book (which my uncle built) is the same as the Haynes roadster which i am building? Soooo, can anyone tell me if I can use the Cortina Uprights on the Haynes roadster? |

The simple answer is yes you can use cortina up rights, how ever you will need to change the design of the front wishbones. You will need to have a full understanding of steering geomentry ie camber, caster, toe, bump steer, ackerman, king pin inclanation etc to make sure your car is safe to drive. You have to weigh up wether it's worth reinventing the wheel when you can pick up the book know the design works and build it. Your time and money your choice.
